Thank you so much for visiting my website. It is hard to
believe that I started this business over 6 years ago in
2005. What a great time it has been! My name is Trudy Scott
and the one question that I always get when I go into
someone’s home is, “How did you come up with this idea?” I
figured it was time that everyone knew a little more about
me and why I started this business originally. First of all,
I have a wonderful husband that supports me in anything that
I do. When I approached him with this tea party idea I don’t
think he knew exactly what we would be getting into nor did
I. I was monogramming and selling clothing for little girls
in a children’s boutique in Kerrville when I got the idea.
The owner had an empty space in her store and I asked her
what she was going to do with it. She said that she was
thinking of having girls come into the store to have tea
parties...and that is where the idea originated. I thought,
well, maybe I could go into customer’s homes and set it all
up...and that’s just what I did. I guess you could say I
wasn’t making a fortune in the monogramming business.
Previously, I had worked as a Marketing Director for a real
estate company and also at the Austin American-Statesman
after receiving a degree in marketing.
The financial
need brings me to my 2 wonderful children, Meredith and
Cooper (7 years old). Meredith is a beautiful 10 year old
that will always be my little princess and the inspiration
for my business. You can see just how beautiful she is on my
home page. When she was born she acquired brain damage from
birth trauma. My life completely changed that day and the
paths that I have taken may have changed as well but the
passion I have for my family and personal goals did not.
Currently, I am the Special Education chair for the PTA
at my children’s school, leader of the Special Parents of
Special Kids support group, & a member of Real Moms. Along
with my son and daughter’s extracurricular activities, I
guess you could say that my life is hectic!!

I
have had some wonderful parties these past 6 years. Some
of my most memorable ones is doing a princess visit for a
previous Spurs player...in August...outside!! You could
say it was super hot. There were so many guests there that
I couldn’t get my car out of his driveway. He got into my
car and turned it around! Once at the Dominion Country
Club a mom went all out with a horse and carriage. Those
girls thought they were in a fairytale, literally! The 2
parties that I will never forget were 2 girls about my
daughter’s age that have special needs. What I will always
cherish were the friends that came to these girl’s party
and showed their respect, politeness and kindness towards
their friend.True princesses.
I think what makes my
parties special is that I really talk to the girls alot
about manners and etiquette and how princesses/knights
act. I tell them that they don’t just act this way on the
day of the party but ALWAYS. The moms are amazed at how
the girls listen to me, even the 3 and 4 year olds. The
most important thing that I tell them, though, is that
princesses are not only beautiful on the outside but
beautiful on the inside as well. “Remember to be nice to
everyone.” I hope that if they get anything out of the
party it is that!
Thanks to all those princesses
for making my job so rewarding!! |
